In his Juan. 10 op-ed, “Florida Democrats must like los­ing — they do it so well,” for­mer Dade Demo­cratic Party Chair­man Mike Abrams said that Florida’s Demo­cratic Party needs a bet­ter get-out-thevote process so that Dems can win more elec­tions.

How about maybe the Democrats — and Repub­li­cans — roll out a plat­form that ap­peals to the voters in­stead of muck­rak­ing the op­po­si­tion, which clearly cost the Dems the last pres­i­den­tial elec­tion.

Giv­ing the voters some­thing to vote for should be the real mes­sage.

IN­SULTS RUN AMOK

When I first read the Jan. 6 let­ter “Foul lan­guage,” I thought it was just sar­casm. How can some­one plead for ci­vil­ity and then write dis­parag­ingly of Democrats and lib­er­als, then quote the most un­civil pres­i­dent in Amer­i­can his­tory by us­ing his de­scrip­tion of some of our al­lies as “shit­hole” coun­tries.

Is it pos­si­ble the writer is un­able to men­tally process any­thing that doesn’t com­port with what she al­ready be­lieves? Don’t she and AMINDA MARQUES GON­ZA­LEZ EX­EC­U­TIVE EDI­TOR
