I am concerned that with all the white box houses and the constructi­on on Grand Avenue, the longtime residents of the Black Grove will be kicked out. I read that one of the new developers is going to do something about that in his new project. What is he going to do?

I read that being pushed out was prevented in New York and the flavor of Harlem was preserved in the latest renaissanc­e. They figured it out.

I frequent the new businesses that have sprung up on Grand Avenue and hope that Kroma Gallery is not gone. Activism, business, art, fine restaurant­s — could it happen here without displacing the residents?
