fracking is strong and they are responding to it. That’s why we need to be careful about this executive action.
I’m grateful that DeSantis is honoring his word, but I’m keeping an eye on the language used in the ban, given that he still refuses to acknowledge the reality of climate change. All forms of fracking need to be banned in Florida, including acid fracking and matrix acidizing. Let’s keep the movement growing and the pressure on. A soft nudge is not enough.

In his Jan. 15 letter to the editor, “We need the wall,” Michael Katz argued why we need Trump’s wall. His facts are wrong. The overwhelming majority of illegal drugs coming from the south are smuggled through border check points, not people crossing remote areas. A wall will do nothing to stop that.

The Jan. 14 front page of the Herald warns of another massive road project with no mention of integrated Metrorail tracks. The incremental costs of adding heavy rail to such large road projects are minimal, yet once again, shamelessly ignored.
Shame on us citizens for allowing our elected officials to approve these projects without mass transit.
