Miami-Dade County:

Six Miami-Dade County government locations will accept donations for critical supplies requested by Bahamian government officials. Supplies include beds, blankets, ice, nonperisha­ble food, water and power banks. Officials are asking residents to only donate what is being requested by the government of the Bahamas.

Drop-off locations are:

● Miami-Dade County Main Library, 101 W. Flagler St., Miami.

● Stephen P. Clark Center, 111 NW First St., Miami.

● Joseph Caleb Center, 5400 NW 22nd Ave., Miami.

● Office of Emergency Management Warehouse, 8008 NW 14th St., Doral.

● Miami-Dade Downtown Motor Pool, 201 NW First St., Miami.

● South Dade Government Center, 10710 SW 211th St., Cutler Bay.

Those making donations at the Clark Center in downtown Miami will have their parking validated. All other locations have free parking available.

City of Miami: The city of Miami has created 16 drop-off locations, including fire stations and Christ Episcopal Church and Greater St. Paul AME Church in Coconut Grove, to collect donations.The city is requesting the following items: water, canned goods, can openers, mosquito spray, sunscreen, diapers, baby formula, first-aid items, flashlight­s, batteries, small generators. Operation Helping Hands: United Way of Miami-Dade and the Miami Herald/el Nuevo Herald have activated Operation Helping Hands to support response, relief and recovery efforts. All of the funds raised will go directly to help people affected by Hurricane Dorian. Archdioces­e of Miami: The Archdioces­e of Miami is accepting donations through Catholic Charities of the Archdioces­e of Miami. To donate, go to http://www.ccadm.org/disaster_relief_services/.

All of the donations will be used for Hurricane Dorian relief efforts.

Food for the Poor: The Broward-based charity will collect canned meats, canned fish, canned milk and diapers. The items can be dropped off at the Food for the Poor warehouse, 6401 Lyons Rd. in Coconut Creek, between 10 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. weekdays.

Greater Miami Jewish Federation: The Greater Miami Jewish Federation has establishe­d a special relief fund for Hurricane Dorian victims in the Bahamas. The federation will absorb all administra­tive costs so all proceeds will go toward relief efforts. To donate, go to JewishMiam­i.org/hurricaned­orian. Checks can also be mailed payable to Greater Miami Jewish Federation, 4200 Biscayne Blvd., Miami, FL 33137. Note “Hurricane Dorian Relief Fund” in the memo of the check.

City of Doral: The City of Doral is collecting donations for the Bahamas until Sept. 18 at the following parks: Doral Legacy Park, 11400 NW 82nd St.; Doral Meadow Park, 11555 NW 58th St.; Morgan Levy

Park, 5300 NW 102nd

Ave. The parks will be open from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. weekdays, and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. weekends.
