Tom Brady was spotted in the Tampa Bay area this week.

According to the Tampa Bay Times, Brady, who signed as a free agent to become the Buccaneers’ new quarterback after winning six Super Bowls in 20 years with the New England Patriots, is residing in the Davis Islands mansion built by New York Yankees legend Derek Jeter, who was voted into baseball’s Hall of Fame earlier this year.

Jeter is CEO and part owner of the Miami Marlins.

Tampa Bay area radio host JP Peterson was the first to report.

Brady is renting the mansion from Jeter, Peterson reported.

A future Pro Football Hall of Fame quarterback, the 42-year-old Brady signed a two-year contract with the Buccaneers. Brady posted a photo of himself signing with the Bucs in an Instagram post on March 20.

Brady’s two-year deal includes a $15 million guaranteed salary per year, NFL.com reported.

According to Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times,” the mansion #GoBucs QB Tom Brady will live in is a 30K square-foot, seven bedroom, nine bathroom waterfront home that wraps around a pool with two boat lifts and entertainment room and billiard room.”

Brady threw for 4,057 yards, with a 60.8 completion percentage, and 24 touchdowns against eight interceptions last season. Brady’s completion percentage in 2019 was his lowest since the 2013 season and ties for his thirdlowest since he became an NFL starter for the Patriots in 2001.

Meanwhile, the Bucs are finalizing a deal to retain Blaine Gabbert as backup quarterback to Brady.

They wanted a veteran to back up the six-time Super Bowl champion, and also one with knowledge of coach Bruce Arians’ offense.

Gabbert, who signed with the Bucs last year to back up Jameis Winston, played under Arians in his final year with the Cardinals, in 2017.

TITANS WANT TO KEEP RB HENRY

The Tennessee Titans don’t want Derrick Henry going anywhere anytime soon, and the NFL rushing leader sounds as if he’s eager to stick around too.

General manager Jon Robinson said on a conference call with reporters that Henry is an important part of the Titans, and he spoke with the running back before free agency opened. Robinson’s also spoke to Henry’s agents after the Titans tagged him as their franchise player March 16.

“It was good that they communicated back that he does want to be here and he wants to keep working on this thing,” Robinson said of Henry. “It wasn’t something that, ‘OK well, I'll take it and I’m done or I’m just going to do whatever.’ He wants to be here and he conveyed the message to me through his agent that he wants to keep working on this thing, and we do too.”

Henry will earn $10.2 million after the Titans used the non-exclusive franchise tag on the first man to run for at least 180 yards in three consecutive games.
