TEST EXPERIENCE

-

We all have seen news stories of people waiting for hours in long lines to be tested for COVID-19.

Recently, on Biscayne Boulevard and 148th

Street, at the vacant Costco, a sign announced free testing was available for pedestrians. People could park their cars nearby and walk up. The line moved quickly. I provided my Florida ID, had my nose painlessly swabbed and was told I would receive my results in three to five days. The entire process took only taken 25 minutes from the time I arrived.

Two days later, I received my result via email. Thankfully, it was negative. But I was advised to continue to practice social distancing, wash my hands frequently and monitor for symptoms. I plan to do so.

The medical staff should be commended for their kind courtesy and efficiency during this difficult time.
