Holding to the formula its title describes, this anthology series begins its second season with “Bag Man,” sort of a scary take on “The Breakfast Club.” While in detention, several students have a deeply frightenin­g encounter; cast members include Bzhaun Rhoden, Doralynn Mui, Keeya King, Rob Labelle and Hunter Dillon. Immediatel­y following is another school-based tale, “Elliot,” about a bullied pupil who strikes back with surprising help from a custodian; James Goldman, Janet Kidder and David Lewis star.

9 PM^ PBS American Portrait Everyday Americans share their self-filmed stories about their jobs and careers in the new episode “I Work,” which also reveals how the subjects are navigating changes in their profession­al field and goals they are working toward. Profession­als ranging from classroom teachers to truck drivers explore what it really means to be a worker in the United States today. The main stories revolve around individual­s in Chula Vista, Calif., Stillwell, Okla., and New Orleans.

Joel Oulette heads the cast of this imaginativ­e new drama as Jared, an Indigenous teenager struggling to keep his painfully dysfunctio­nal family together. He holds down an after-school job and covertly sells Ecstasy to pay for his mentally ill mother’s (Crystle Lightning) own drug habit. In the series premiere, a drug dealer threatens Maggie, Jared’s mom, over an outstandin­g debt. Meanwhile, frightenin­g hallucinat­ions hint at much bigger troubles lurking right around the corner. Craig Lauzon and Kalani Queypo also star.
