Rangers: High-priced defenseman Tony DeAngelo cleared waivers Monday. According to news reports, DeAngelo, 25, and goaltender Alexandar Georgiev had a physical confrontation after New York’s loss to the Penguins on Saturday night. Just before Sidney Crosby scored the winning goal, DeAngelo and Georgiev appeared to have a miscommunication over handling the puck behind the Rangers’ net. “This isn’t about one incident,” coach David Quinn said. DeAngelo signed a two-year, $9.6 million contract extension in October.
