up poor, is determined to take away everything her luckier halfsister has enjoyed until now. 8PM (TCM) MOVIE The Miracle Worker “The room’s a wreck, but her napkin is folded.” Dedicated Anne Sullivan (Anne Bancroft) helps young Helen Keller (Patty Duke) emerge from her silent prison in this Oscar-winning 1962 adaptation of William Gibson’s award-winning Broadway play. By turns poignant, funny, suspensefu­l and uplifting, the drama scored Academy Awards for both Bancroft and Duke, reprising their stage performanc­es. Inga Swenson co-stars.
