TODAY’S HIGHLIGHTS

-

8PM & 2021 Stanley Cup Final The most grueling spectacle in all of sports gets under way tonight with Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Final. The victor of this best-ofseven series wins the NHL championship for 2020-21 and earns the right to hoist Lord Stanley’s Cup. Last year, that honor went to the Tampa Bay Lightning, who downed the Dallas Stars in six games to take the franchise’s second league title.

8PM _ MasterChef Sherry

Yard — one of America’s most influential pastry chefs, as well as a restaurateur and cookbook author — serves as guest judge in this new episode, which tests the home cooks’ baking skills for the first time in a tricky dessert challenge. The prospect of elimination also is on the line, adding to the suspense. Gordon Ramsay is the host and head judge; Joe Bastianich and Aarón Sánchez also are on the judging panel.

8PM G Kung Fu After a case Evan (Gavin Stenhouse) is working on takes an unfortunate turn, Nicky (Olivia Liang) offers her assistance in the new episode “Choice.” Elsewhere, Ryan (Jon Prasida) works up the courage to introduce Joe (guest star Bradley Gibson) as his boyfriend to his parents, while Zhilan and Kerwin (guest stars Yvonne Chapman, Ludi Lin) get a surprise visitor. Tzi Ma, Shannon Dang and Kheng Hua Tan also star. 8PM (MTV) Siesta Key Juliette and Kelsey’s bitter rivalry just keeps building until it finally reaches the point of no return in the new episode “Things Will Never Be the Same.” Things scarcely are any better for Brandon, Jordana, Camilla and Will, and the jealousies lead to a blow up that suggests the island is simply too small for this quartet to co-exist.

9PM ^ Nature David Attenborough narrates “The Bat Man of Mexico,” which follows ecologist Rodrigo Medellín as he tries to save the lesser long-nosed bat from extinction. Without these bats, Mexico’s most famous export, tequila, faces an equally stark fate: This particular species of bat pollinates the plants from which the liquor is made. Giving these benign creatures a new future requires Medellín to track their epic migration across Mexico, sprinkling harmless UV dust on the bats and then following their glowing quano.

9PM G In the Dark Murphy, Jess, Felix and Max (Perry Mattfeld, Brooke Markham, Morgan Krantz, Casey Deidrick) are officially on the lam in the new episode “I Know What You Did Last Night,” but if they’re feeling pressure now, they also know they’ve just begun their long and desperate quest to stay one step ahead of Josh and Clemens (Theo Bhat, Matt Murray).
