USUAL POLITICS

-

Rep. Mario Díaz-Balart, in his July 20 letter, shows he is just another party loyalist, still trying to stay in the good graces of the disgraced former president and who will say anything to have Trump’s endorsement for re-election.

His comment about the Hispanic community not being easily manipulated is off base. The former president rescinded the Obama administration’s Cuba policies, making life harder on the Cuban population. He then flooded Hispanic media with lies about how he loved Hispanics and stood with them. This resulted in an overwhelming number of votes for him.

So yes, Díaz-Balart and many in theHispanic community drank the Kool-Aid and now blame Biden for the mess in Cuba.

Shame on them for believing the misinformation on Spanish-language media and for not doing the research before voting. – Oscar R. Friedman,
