Our elected officials spent weeks arguing, posturing, wrangling and politicizi­ng the selection of the members of the House committee tasked with ascertaini­ng the truth of what most of us saw with our own eyes.

Are we, as a nation, so oblivious to the reality of what happened at the Capitol on Jan. 6 that we have to conduct an inquiry?

The media would better serve the American public by running a video loop of the former president’s speech followed by its fruition in the form of the insurrecti­onist attack on the Capitol and on those persons charged with its protection. – Allan B. Marks,
