Three articles, juxtaposed on one page in the July 23 Miami Herald, sum up our situation.

The first, “Florida’s COVID rate is alarming,” reveals that Florida is among three states that account for 40 percent of COVID-19 cases in the nation.

The second, “The lines are back at COVID testing sites in MiamiDade,” notes that people are lining up because they are traveling, or were exposed, or have symptoms.

The third, “DeSantis: If schools or feds require masks, I’ll have Legislature ban those mandates.” He doesn’t say he will ask the Legislature, but will “have” them ban mandates.

Draw your own conclusions, and remember this guy wants to be president.
