FORMULA 1 GRAND PRIX IS TAKING OVER MIAMI
Here’s where the fans will be partying
The Formula 1 Crypto.com Miami Grand Prix is coming to Miami International Autodrome (aka Hard Rock Stadium), so get ready for one of the biggest face-to-face events to happen in South Florida since pre-pandemic times (that would be Super Bowl 2020).
Formula 1 has typically been a sport you needed to travel thousands of miles to watch in person — think Monaco, Abu Dhabi or Australia. Now for the first time ever, American F1 fans are getting an opportunity to see the glamorous race right here in the Magic City.
The parties are coming, too, and we sussed out some cool events to get your motor running (even if the only thing you know about car racing is watching “The Fast and the Furious”).
FTX OFF THE GRID
Cryptocurrency exchange FTX (who named our downtown arena) is throwing a massive bash on the beach, “three days of crypto, culture, and cars.” TV’s “6 in the Mix” star Johanna Gomez will emcee the sandy shindig.
Folks can walk about the 165,000 feet of space, checking out NFTs, gaming lounges, fashion shows and naturally, cars. The streets between 10th and Ocean are closed off on both Saturday and Sunday so that a Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 can flex.
