8PM (HALL) MOVIE Warming Up to You Kate Wolfe (Cindy Busby), a fitness instructor, takes a job at her best friend’s wellness retreat, where one of her first clients is Rick Steele (Christophe­r Russell), an A-list actor training for a new movie. As they work together to make athletic progress, they begin to click romantical­ly as well. That blossoming relationsh­ip is threatened, though, then Rick’s co-star, Liza Calhoun (Caitlin Stryker), arrives to train as well. Devon Alexander, Latonya Williams and Al Miro co-star in this 2021 romance. 8PM (LIFE)

After an old friend introduces her to a self-improvemen­t program called Initiative, a woman discovers that this seemingly life-affirming program is riddled with terrifying secrets designed to keep its all-female members trapped, with no hope of escape. Outraged by this revelation, she vows to investigat­e Initiative and bring it down before the nefarious individual­s behind it are able to stop her, lethally. Jade Harlow, Diora Baird, Taylor Blackwell, Monroe Cline and Tom Parker star in this 2022 thriller.

Ben Platt reprised his performanc­e in the title role of this still-running 2016 Broadway blockbuste­r from songwriter­s Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, with a book by Steven Levenson. The musical, which also won Tonys in five other major categories, revolves around a socially anxious teenager (Platt) who finds himself caught in a snowballin­g lie following the suicide of a classmate. The fine cast also includes Amy Adams, Julianne Moore, Kaitlyn Dever and Amandla Stenberg.
