Tripadvisor just named this adults-only Miami Beach hotel one of the best in the U.S.

A Miami Beach hotel has just been named one of the best hotels in the country.

Tripadvisor just released its 2022 Travelers’ Choice Best of the Best Awards, and only one property from Florida made the prestigious list of Top 25 Hotels in the U.S.: The Standard Spa in Miami Beach.

The waterfront Standard

Spa Miami Beach, which was named No. 10 and opened a new restaurant and new bar last fall, is an adults-only property except for its restaurant; guests must be 18 to stay the night and 21 to check in.

Tripadvisor calls it “a holistic hydrotherapy spa hotel with a minimalist design that provides a stylish yet intimate ambiance.”

No Miami area hotels were listed as a Top 10 Hotel in 2021. The top U.S. hotel for 2022 was The Mark Hotel in New York.

The 2022 Travelers’ Choice Best of the Best Awards are based on the quality and quantity of traveler reviews and ratings posted on Tripadvisor from Jan. 1 through Dec. 31, 2021. Tripadvisor breaks the awards down into specific subcategories, too: hottest new hotels, mountain resorts and lodges, hotels on the water, out-ofthe-ordinary hotels, small hotels, most romantic, all-inclusives, B&Bs/inns, luxury and family-friendly hotels.

A few South Florida beach resorts and hotels in the Florida Keys made the following best-in-the-U.S. lists, including Acqualina Resort in Sunny Isles Beach, which was named one of the best hotels in the U.S. this year by U.S. News & World Report, and the new Goodtime Hotel in Miami Beach, which is co-owned by nightlife entrepreneur David Grutman and musical artist Pharrell.
