When a well-meaning colleague discovers Trevor is a huge dog lover, he blurts out that Kyra has a well-trained dog, to which Trevor enthusiastically suggests she enter her pooch in their store’s upcoming canine competition. This poses a problem for Kyra, who has no such pet. A nearby animal shelter may hold the answer, though, in this new romantic comedy.

8PM (LIFE) MOVIE Disappearance

in Yellowstone While she’s driving through a remote section of Yellowstone National Park, Jessie’s car breaks down and her sullen teenage daughter, Michelle, locks herself inside the vehicle. Frustrated, Jessie walks until she finds a helpful mechanic, but when they get back to the car, Michelle is missing. Although Jessie fears her daughter has been kidnapped, area police suspect Jessie has done something to the girl. Lucie Guest, Jonathan Scarfe, Cassandra Sawtell and Aren Buchholz star in this 2022 thriller.

8PM (BBCA) Planet Earth: Dynasties

This six-episode follow-up to the acclaimed first season provides more fresh insights into the secret lives of some of the most fascinating animals on Earth, over an extended period of time. The season premiere, “Puma,” opens in the wild and remote highlands of Patagonia, where a solitary mother puma called Rupestre strives to raise four cubs, her largest litter yet. Hunting to feed her young forces Rupestre to brave hostile natural forces like white-out blizzards in which winds approach 100 mph. Her more serious threats, though, come from other pumas.
