9PM (NGEO) Shark Queens
In the animal kingdom as a whole, males often are presumed to be the dominant member of its species. In this new documentary, however, marine scientists challenge that assumption to see if it holds water under the sea. They discover that from the great white sharks of South African waters to the tiger sharks of the Maldives, females rule the waves more often than you might think. 9PM (TLC) Dr. Pimple Popper A show that already is not for the squeamish ventures where no “pops” have gone before as Dr. Lee returns to a new season, diving scalpel first into cases that involve inflamed lumps covering a patient’s head and even a set of masses with the texture of a turtle shell that just might be the largest genital warts on record. No matter how scary or icky the challenge, Dr. Lee is ready and eager to help frustrated patients who have all but given up hope of a normal life.
10 PM (NGEO) Baby Sharks Even the most ruthless predator in the ocean starts life as a baby and, yes, baby sharks are indeed cute. They also have to grow up quickly, though, because out of more than 500 species of sharks, none of the parents stick around to raise their offspring after birth. This documentary examines how evolution has given sharks strikingly different ways to carry their young, give birth and allow the baby sharks to thrive.

New York-based actress and comic Phoebe Robinson is writer, executive producer and star of this new comedy about an outspoken podcast personality in her 30s who is forced to take stock of her messy and cash-poor existence in Brooklyn when her annoyingly perfect older brother launches a political campaign. Jordan Carlos, Toccarra Cash, Nneka Okafor and Moses Storm co-star in this new series, which premieres tonight with two back-to-back episodes.
