Antony secured Manchester United a fourth successive victory as a 3-1 win ended Arsenal’s perfect start to the Premier League on Sunday.

Deadline-day signing Antony was handed a start after joining only on Thursday and took just 35 minutes to score his first goal, the $95 million arrival from Ajax coolly dispatchin­g a left-footed effort.

By that time, Arsenal winger Gabriel Martinelli had had a goal ruled out after the VAR advised referee Paul Tierney to review Martin Odegaard’s challenge on

Christian Eriksen in the buildup.

Arsenal started the second half strongly and equalized through Bukayo Saka, only for United to strike back as Rashford was sent racing through to score by a brilliant through ball from Bruno Fernandes.

The 24-year-old Rashford grabbed his second after Eriksen teed him up in the 75th minute as United won four consecutiv­e Premier League games for the first time since April 2021.

Arsenal’s run of five straight games to open the season came to an end but the visitors dominated large spells at Old Trafford.

Elsewhere: Marco Richter scored his first goal since recovering from treatment for a testicular tumor to seal Hertha Berlin’s first win of the season as it beat Augsburg 2-0 in the Bundesliga. Richter had made his first appearance since undergoing treatment in last weekend’s 1-0 loss to Borussia Dortmund when he hit the crossbar. The 24-year-old winger went one better against his former club Augsburg, tapping home from close range after Davie Selke had unselfishl­y passed the ball to him to finish off a counteratt­ack and wrap up the match in stoppage time. ... Austria striker Sasa Kalajdzic sustained an anterior cruciate ligament injury on his debut for Wolverhamp­ton, the Premier League club said Sunday, and is set for a long spell out . ... Martin Braithwait­e didn’t have to go far to start showing his worth again in Spain. Making his debut with Espanyol after leaving city rival Barcelona, the Denmark forward came through with his team’s winning goal in a 1-0 victory against Athletic Bilbao in the Spanish league. It was Espanyol’s first victory of the season, and Braithwait­e’s first goal in more than a year. He had appeared in only four matches with the Catalan club since then, the last in March.

ETC. Women’s hockey:

Brianne Jenner scored twice in the second period and Canada defended its title with a 2-1 win over the United States in the women’s world hockey championsh­ip final at Herning, Denmark. Ann-Renee Desbiens made 20 saves for Canada, which won gold in a third major internatio­nal event in the span of a year. Abby Roque scored for the Americans and Nicole Hensley stopped 17 shots.

Cycling: Still feeling stiff from his crash and facing the highest summit finish of the Spanish Vuelta, Remco Evenepoel held his ground to take a big step toward winning his first Grand Tour race. Evenepoel, who was injured after a crash Thursday, fended off another challenge by three-time champion Primoz Roglic to keep the leader’s red jersey.
