Florida ranks 48th in average K-12 teacher pay. Could this be why there is a teacher shortage in Miami-Dade County Public Schools and throughout Florida?

If Gov. DeSantis wants to address this problem, he should work to pay teachers as professionals and allow them to teach, not threaten them with a felony arrest based on what students are reading.
