FAU’s Martin transfers to UF
Former FAU standout guard Alijah Martin is transferring to Florida, he told ESPN on Sunday. Martin, who will have one year of eligibility as a graduate transfer, averaged 11.9 points, 5.0 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 1.3 steals in 124 games over four seasons for the Owls from 2020-24.
The 6-foot-2 Martin started 30 of 34 games this past season and averaged 13.1 points, 5.9 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 1.6 steals en route to his third consecutive all-league honor (Conference USA twice, American Athletic Conference in 2024).
A native of Summit, Miss., Martin told ESPN that he selected Florida and coach Todd Golden over Michigan, Alabama, Arkansas, Ole Miss and Southern California.

Kanaan Carlyle is transferring to Indiana. Carlyle averaged 11.5 points, 2.7 rebounds and 2.7 assists in 23 games for Stanford last season. He made 32 threepointers . ... Former Indiana State standout Robbie Avila is following his old coach to his new destination, Saint Louis. Avila was named to the All-Missouri Valley Conference first team. A 6-foot-10, 240pound center, Avila starred for the Sycamores (32-7) in averaging 17.4 points, 6.6 rebounds and 4.1 assists per game over 37 starts . ... North Carolina forward

8.8 rebounds in 37 games last season for the Tar Heels after playing his first two college seasons at Stanford . ... Justin Pippen, the youngest son of NBA legend Scottie Pippen, his committed to play for Michigan. Pippen, a 6-foot-3 senior guard at Sierra Canyon
School in Los Angeles, also considered Texas A&M, Florida, Stanford and Cal, according to multiple media reports.

Dest’s availability for the U.S. Men’s National
Team’s match at Copa America is in question after the defender injured his knee Saturday during practice with his PSV Eindhoven squad. The Netherlands-born Dest, a U.S. citizen, sustained a “serious knee injury,” according to a statement Sunday from the club, which plays in the Eredivisie, the top tier of Dutch soccer. Dest, 23, has been on loan from FC Barcelona since August and has two goals and seven assists in 37 official matches for PSV.
Tennis: Third-seeded Casper Ruud exacted revenge against fifth-seeded Stefanos Tsitsipas by posting a 7-5, 6-3 win Sunday in the finals of the Barcelona Open Banc Sabadell. It was a rematch of the finals last week, won by Tsitsipas for his third Rolex Monte Carlo Masters in four years and 11th career victory on tour. Ruud of Norway, who is ranked sixth in the world, captured his first ATP Tour title of the season in 90 minutes after converting three of six break points . ... Fourthseeded Elena Rybakina captured her third title of the year on Sunday following a decisive 6-2, 6-2 win over Ukraine’s Marta Kostyuk in the final of the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix in Stuttgart, Germany. Rybakina of Kazakhstan broke Kostyuk’s serve in the first game and never looked back. At the Open Capfinances Rouen Metropole, sixthseeded Sloane Stephens won her eighth WTA Tour title with a 6-1, 2-6, 6-2 victory over Magda Linette of Poland in Rouen, France.
