Travis Kelce points to Taylor Swift during telling lyric at her Paris concert
Travis Kelce’s reaction to Taylor Swift performing “So High School” is melting hearts online, with Swift reportedly writing the song for her football star boyfriend.
The singer is currently in Paris for the European leg of her Eras tour.
The 34-year-old has performed four sold-out shows at the city’s La Défense Arena since Thursday, with Kelce attending her final gig on Sunday night.
In a sweet clip shared by user @TayvisHaze to X, Kelce is seen dancing in the VIP area, alongside Swift’s friend, Gigi Hadid, and her boyfriend, Bradley Cooper.
When Swift gets to the lyric “I feel so high school every time I’m with you,” the Kansas City Chief’s tight end points to himself with both hands, before pointing at Swift performing, then back to himself again.
“Circling back to Trav pointing at Tay during ‘I feel so high school every time i look at you,’ ” @TayvisHaze captioned the footage, along with a crying emoji. Since being shared on Sunday, the video has received almost 40,000 views.
“So High School” was released on April 19, along with the rest of Swift’s double album, “The Tortured Poets Department: An Anthology.” Although he’s not named in the track, Swifties think “So High School” is about the 34-year-old football player.
In the first verse, Swift appears to allude to an Afterbuzz interview in which Kelce played “Marry, Kiss or Kill.” In the interview filmed in 2016, the NFL star had to choose among Swift, Ariana Grande and Katy Perry, although he had yet to meet Swift.
“Are you gonna marry, kiss, or kill me? It’s just a game, but really, I’m bettin’ on all three for us two,” Swift sings in “So High School.”
The Grammy winner updated her Eras tour set list after the release of TTPD. Her performance of “So High School” also appears to allude to her romance with Kelce, with Easter eggs including red and yellow lights — the Chief’s colors — and cheerleaders reenacting Kelce’s signature touchdown dance.
Swifties also suspect that the TTPD song “The Alchemy” is dedicated to Kelce, with the track containing footballthemed references to touchdowns, trophies and winning streaks.
Swift and Kelce began dating last summer, going public with their relationship in September. In February, the pop star flew from Japan to cheer on Kelce at the Super Bowl, with the Chiefs taking home the trophy in a 25–22 victory against the San Francisco 49ers.
