WHO: Hotel manager, Londonhouse Chicago (85 E. Wacker Dr., 312-357-1200; londonhousechicago.com). LOCAL CRAVING: “Chicagostyle hot dogs, because we’re the only ones who do them the right way (no ketchup!). Nothing beats Gene and Jude’s (2720 River Road, River Grove, 708-452-7634; geneandjudes.com) hot dogs at 2 am after a night out—not to mention the hand-cut fries that come with.” HIDDEN GEM: “Imperial Shoe Crafters (70 E. Lake St., 312-781-0932; imperial-shoecrafters.com), my go-to shoe repair/shine shop. They represent the type of people this city is made of: hard working, personable, reliable, and easy to talk to.” FAVE CITY SPACE: “The intersection of michigan and Wacker. Of course, outside of it being the location of Londonhouse, it’s the most iconic intersection in the city—it’s where Chicago was established [at Fort Dearborn].” SUMMER LOVE: “The rooftops. We’re lucky to have the best rooftop experiences in this city; any new building wants to ensure they have one, and any existing building wishes they had one.” ULTIMATE INDULGENCE: “For me it has to be food-related, and I love Portillo’s (100 W. Ontario St., 312-587-8910; portillos.com) chocolate cake—it’s my go-to when I’m craving something sweet, whether for a quick dessert or when I need to supply the cake for a party.”
