I’ve been get­ting so many ques­tions about our new par­ent com­pany, Mod­ern lux­ury, and how it has im­pacted business. Here are just a few of the in­cred­i­bly ex­cit­ing things on the hori­zon, a di­rect re­sult of the ac­qui­si­tion:

In 2018, we’ll in­crease our fre­quency to eight is­sues a year, up from six—a di­rect re­flec­tion of a grow­ing de­mand for print from read­ers and ad­ver­tis­ers. It means de­liv­er­ing even more qual­ity ed­i­to­rial cov­er­age, as well as deep­en­ing re­la­tion­ships with long­stand­ing part­ners like @Prop­er­ties, Jame­son sotheby’s, Baird & Warner, Con­stel­la­tion Brands, Mar­shall Pierce & Co., Beam sun­tory, Miller­coors, James & sons Jewelers, Burdi, lo­quer­cio au­to­mo­tive, and so many other val­ued long-term sup­port­ers. and, ac­cord­ingly, we’ll dou­ble our staff to the size re­quired to con­tinue to de­liver the city’s best con­tent, ex­pe­ri­ences, and brand ac­ti­va­tions. as I’m prone to say—with our up­com­ing Win­ter Is­sue mark­ing the start of our 10th year in business, no less—you grow or go.

There’s even more thrilling news ahead: In septem­ber, we’ll toast the open­ing of The sin­clair, the lat­est project from real es­tate de­vel­op­ers Randy and steve Fi­field of Fi­field & Co. and we’ll help lennar open the doors to its new Oak Park space, The Emer­son. Both prop­er­ties are sleek, sexy, and demon­strate that, while sum­mer might be wrap­ping up, there’s plenty to love about the great in­doors.
