Restaurant group SURG’s annual block party set for Sunday

Could it be the end of summer already? Might as well make the best of it. SURG, the restaurant group that owns several restaurants on N. Milwaukee St., is throwing its SURG annual block party Sunday in the 700 block of the street.

There will be sushi, wine and cocktail demonstrations, and food will be sold from Carnevor, Umami Moto, Distil, Hom Wood Fired Grill, Mi-key’s and Gouda’s Italian Deli.

Music will be by the Kris Crow Band and DJ Devast8.

The block party runs from 3 to 9 p.m., and part of the proceeds benefit the Froedtert Hospital Foundation.
