THE HUNGER GAMES: MOCKINGJAY — PART 1 (Lionsgate) Katniss Everdeen, the “girl on fire,” is recruited to be the symbolic leader of the revolt against the Capitol, which has gone on the offensive, has destroyed her home district and is holding her Games-mate Peeta hostage. Third movie in the blockbuste­r series, based on Suzanne Collins’ books, is the first part of the two-part finale. NIGHT AT THE MUSEUM: SECRET OF THE TOMB (Fox) When that magic thingamabo­b that brings museum exhibits and their inhabitant­s to life starts to lose its power, security guard Ben Stiller heads to London’s British Museum for answers. Robin Williams (as Teddy Roosevelt, in his last on-screen appearance) and most of the museum denizens from the first two “Night at the Museum” movies are joined by Dan Stevens as Sir Lancelot, Ben Kingsley as a pharaoh and Rebel Wilson as a British Museum guard. Bennett Miller’s (“Moneyball,” “Capote”) drama based on the true story of John du Pont, played by Steve Carell, with Channing Tatum as wrestler Mark Schultz and Kenosha native Mark Ruffalo as Dave Schultz, a former wrestling coach at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and Mark’s older brother. Six Oscar nomination­s, including best director for Miller, best actor for Carell, best supporting actor for Ruffalo. (R; some drug use, brief violence)

THE HUMBLING Al Pacino plays an over-the-hill actor who’s re-energized, on several levels, when he connects with a full-of-life lesbian played by Greta Gerwig. Comedy-drama based on Philip Roth’s last novel, directed by Barry Levinson. (R; sexual material, language, brief violence)
