Associated Bank will become the Marcus Center for the Performing Arts’ lead corporate sponsor, the bank and venue announced Monday morning.

As part of the three-year deal, Associated Bank will be the title sponsor of the Marcus Center’s Broadway series.

The partners declined to comment on the financial amount of the sponsorship.

In a statement, the Marcus Center said Associated Bank’s sponsorship would help it “underwrite operating and capital costs.” According to the Marcus Center, the partnership also will help it grow its outreach and free family programs, including Kidz Days in the City, Family First Nights and Opening Our Doors. Kidz Days in the City brings educational and arts programming to community organizations.

“We expect to be able to announce some new community and educational initiative in the coming months,” the Marcus said.

Established in 1969, the Marcus Center is home to Milwaukee Symphony, Milwaukee Ballet, First Stage and Florentine Opera performances, as well as other events. For the past 19 years, the Marcus also has promoted its own Broadway series.
