Highlights:

The “Parade of Tartans” at noon is perhaps the most colorful spectacle of the day, but the 5 p.m. Massed Bands of bagpipes will wow your ears with sound. Visit with celebrity Chef Eric McBride and watch him prepare Celtic dishes, or relax in the tea room with fresh scones before watching a day of medieval entertainm­ent for all ages. View ax throwing and longbow demonstrat­ions, and let the kids get into the act at the padded weapons tournament. All events will be held rain or shine, with musical performanc­es by Dublin O’Shea, War Piper and the Dirty Wellies.

$10 adults; children age 12 and under get in free; active military in uniform get in free; $3 off before 10 a.m. with a per person donation of a nonperisha­ble food item for the Tosa Food Bank.

This gathering of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgende­r community features an opening night performanc­e by Alex Newell of “Glee” and nightly performanc­es by the fire-eating Brew City Fire Brigade. The Dance Pavilion is a popular stop for drag entertainm­ent, as well as the Stonewall Stage for informatio­nal talks on important topics. Additional Mainstage headliners include Ani DiFranco, Ty Herndon and En Vogue, with emerging artists and Milwaukee favorites spread out throughout the grounds.
