Amery: Stower Seven Lakes State Trail Triathlon.

Take on this triathlon by yourself or as part of a two- or threeperso­n relay team beginning at 9 a.m. Saturday. The race includes a 16-mile bike ride, a 3.1-mile run and a canoe/ kayak paddle. It begins and ends at the Pavilion downtown. Registrati­on is $40 for the solo race and $60 for the relay. See

You can have your cheese and eat it too at this festival Friday through next Sunday at Doyle Park, 100 Van Buren St. Activities include amusement rides, a petting zoo, music, cheese tastings, cheese-carving demonstrat­ions and a cheese curd eating contest. Admission is $4 for adults age 13 and up and $2 for kids ages 4 to 12 in advance; admission at the gate is $5 and $3. Admission is free next Sunday. See

Madison: Trek 100.

Join this ride for a good cause Saturday around Trek Bicycle’s Corporate Headquarte­rs, 801 W. Madison St., Waterloo. Choose from routes of 19, 26 and 100 miles or 100 kilometers. The 26th annual race raises money for the MACC Fund. Registrati­on is $55 for adults and $25 for kids age 14 and under, and riders are encouraged to raise $2 per mile they bike. See

From pottery and paintings to furniture and photograph­y, there will be a variety of works at this Northwoods art fair. Michigan: Jackson Blues Fest. Groove to great blues music all weekend during this 13th annual festival held at the Jackson County Airport, 3606 Wildwood Ave., Jackson. Bands will perform throughout the day, with a headlining act each night. Bring a lawn chair but leave your coolers at home. The festival is open 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. Thursday, 6 p.m. to midnight Friday and 3 p.m. to midnight Saturday. Admission is $5 per day. See
