Panthers aren’t equal to the task

-

The game at the Klotsche Center on Saturday afternoon wasn’t easy on UW Milwaukee women’s basketball coach Kyle Rechlicz’s eyes.

She sat and watched Youngstown State shoot 50% en route to a 70-62 victory over the Panthers.

“I’m a little disappointed in where we were at today,” Rechlicz said. “I didn’t think we had the same energy level that we normally put forth. There were moments where we were playing well and then there were other moments where we looked complacent and even a little tired.”

The game was tied at 45 with 3:02 left in the third quarter. The Penguins then rattled off 11 straight points to take control.

Jenny Lindner led UWM (13-10, 7-5 Horizon League) with 23 points.
