FRIDAY HIGHLIGHTS

-

7 p.m. WITI Sleepy Hollow Just when the Kindred (guest star Derek Mears) seemed to be vanquished, he becomes a problem all over again — threatening the efforts of Ichabod, Abbie and Jenny (Tom Mison, Nicole Beharie, Lyndie Greenwood) to return to somewhat normal lives — in the new episode “Kindred Spirits.” Ichabod has additional concerns, since his romantic ties to Zoe (guest star Maya Kazan) appear to be yielding troubles as well. Nikki Reed also stars.

7:30 p.m. FOOD American Diner Revival Glenburn Grill and Bakery in Clarks Summit, Pa., has been a longtime favorite among locals, but business has fallen off noticeably in a new episode called “Bakery Shake-Up.” The eatery sorely needs to amp up its line of baked goods, and chef Amanda Freitag has a few creative ideas on that score. With additional help from renovation expert Ty Pennington, it won’t be long before this Pennsylvania business is rolling in dough once again.

7:31 p.m. WISN Dr. Ken A co-star of another ABC sitcom makes a guest appearance in the new episode “The Wedding Sitter,” as Ian Chen (“Fresh Off the Boat”) plays a friend of Dave (Albert Tsai) — who wants to avoid having a babysitter, so he asks the friend to pose as him. Ken (Ken Jeong) and others attend a co-worker’s nuptials, where Allison (Suzy Nakamura) has great fear of Ken displaying what he thinks are his dancing skills. Tisha Campbell-Martin and Dave Foley also star.

8 p.m. WTMJ Grimm One phone call can change everything, as the new episode “Map of the Seven Knights” reaffirms. A message from Germany puts Nick (David Giuntoli) on the trail of his ancestors, but others with less pure motives take up a similar pursuit. Eve and Trubel (Bitsie Tulloch, guest star Jacqueline Toboni) have a showdown over Nick and Adalind (Claire Coffee). Silas Weir Mitchell, Bree Turner and Russell Hornsby also star.

8 p.m. WVTV The Originals With Freya (Riley Voelkel) as her pawn, Aurora (guest star Rebecca Breeds) targets Klaus and Elijah (Joseph Morgan,

Daniel Gillies) in the new episode “Heart Shaped Box.” Davina (Danielle Campbell) uses magic to try to save others, bringing Kol (guest star Nathaniel Buzolic, “Significant Mother”) into the picture in the process. Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin) has to make a devastating decision. Charles Michael Davis also stars. 8 p.m. SHOW Alonzo Bodden: Historically Incorrect The stand-up comic, podcaster and frequent panelist on the radio show “Wait Wait ... Don’t Tell Me” returns with another meditation on the decline of western civilization, this time focusing on historical inaccuracies in both past and present. “My hope is that 100 years from now, they won’t believe we were anti-healthcare, feared gay marriage and had the nation’s largest news outlet claim cops shooting unarmed blacks was not a racial issue,” Bodden recently posted on social media about his set.
