BOYS BASKETBALL

Milwaukee Morse-Marshall at Milwaukee Riverside, 7 p.m. Wednesday: Morse-Marshall has struggled since its fast start, but it has the potential to give the area’s top-ranked team a battle.

Young Coggs Prep at Piux XI, 7 p.m. Wednesday: This will be an interestin­g cross-divisional test for Young Coggs, the defending Division 5 state champion.

Milwaukee Washington at Milwaukee Vincent, 7 p.m. Friday: Vincent could be headed for a season-ending showdown with Riverside for the City title, but first it has to take care of the area’s third-ranked team.

Racine Horlick at Racine Park, 7 p.m. Friday: Park, which already has wrapped up the Southeast Conference title, needs a victory over one of its chief rivals to complete an undefeated league season.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

Arrowhead at Oak Creek, 7:30 p.m. Tuesday: The Southeast Conference champion hosts a quality squad from the Classic 8.

New Berlin Eisenhower at Pewaukee, 7:30 p.m. Tuesday: The winner wraps

up second place in the Woodland West.

Kettle Moraine at Waukesha West, 7:30 p.m. Thursday: These teams share the Classic 8 lead with Mukwonago. The winner gets at least a share of the title.

GYMNASTICS

Conference meets are scheduled for this week. Classic 8: 5:15 p.m. Thursday at Mukwonago. North Shore: 4 p.m. Friday at Whitefish Bay. Southern Lakes: 4:30 p.m. Friday at Burlington. Wisconsin Little Ten: 10 a.m. Saturday at Hartford.

HOCKEY

It’s tournament time. A handful of regional semifinals will be played Tuesday. Most teams’ tournament runs begin at the regional final level Thursday or Friday. All the area girls teams begin at the regional final level Friday.

Whitefish/Nicolet/Shorewood (boys) vs. Kenosha Co-op at Rec Plex, Pleasant Prairie, 8 p.m. Friday: Bay is the lower seed, but it defeated Kenosha, 4-3, in overtime Dec. 16.

KMMO (boys) vs. Janesville at Janesville Ice Skating Center, 7 p.m. Thursday: If Kettle Moraine/Mukwonago/Oconomowoc gets past the first round, it will visit the third-place finisher in the Big 8.

Homestead (boys) vs. Fond du Lac at BlueLine Family Ice, 8 p.m. Friday: Assuming Homestead beats Beaver Dam/Dodgeland on Tuesday, the North Shore champion would get a rematch against Fond du Lac. Fond du Lac won the teams’ first meeting, 6-4, Dec. 8.

BOYS SWIMMING

WIAA state meet, Friday and Saturday, UW Natatorium, Madison: Shorewood, Grafton and Cedarburg are the area teams to watch in the Division 2 meet, which will be held Friday. Diving begins at 2:30 p.m. and swimming at 6:30. Arrowhead is the area team to watch in Division 1 on Saturday. Diving starts at 10 a.m., swimming at 3 p.m.

WRESTLING

Teams that won regionals Saturday qualified for team sectionals Tuesday. The winner of each sectional advances to the team state tournament March 4-5 at the UW Field House.

Individual sectionals will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday unless noted. Advancing to the state tournament are the top two individual­s in each weight class in Division 1 and the top three individual­s in Divisions 2 and 3. Here is the area schedule:

Division 1: New Berlin West, Racine Case, Slinger (10:30 a.m.), Verona, Whitefish Bay.

Division 2: Milwaukee Lutheran. Division 3: Dodgeland.
