Two investors groups led by restaurateur John “Johnny V” Vassallo now control an expanding redevelopment site in Wauwatosa on W. Blue Mound Road.

One group, known as 10909 West Bluemound Road LLC, has purchased a commercial property at that address for $975,000, according to state real estate records posted Tuesday.

That group bought a three-story office building, and its 12,632-square-foot lot, from Keren Properties 10 LLC, based in Whitefish Bay.

The site is west of a retail property at 10845 W. Blue Mound Road that another Vassallo-led group, POG Kosmos Acquisitions LP, bought in July for $2 million. POG’s owners include Steve Novak, a member of the Milwaukee Bucks who is a Brown Deer native and a former Marquette University standout.

That property, which has a former Edwardo’s restaurant and other commercial space, is at the southwest corner of W. Blue Mound and N. Mayfair roads. Its lot is 39,204 square feet, according to assessment records.

Vassallo declined to comment on his plans for the parcels, which total around 1.2 acres.

His businesses include Mo’s Irish Pub, which has a location just across Blue Mound Road from the development site.

There are two other commercial properties between the former Edwardo’s restaurant and the three-story office building: a Tri-City National Bank branch, 10859 W. Blue Mound Road, with an 11,761-square-foot lot, and a singlestory dental office at 10863 W. Blue Mound Road with a 6,534-square-foot lot, according to assessment records.

Those two sites total 0.4 acres.
