The Milwaukee Paranormal Conference hosts a Friday the 13th Fest at Riverwest Public House, starting at 9 p.m. The “Dirty Thirties” lineup includes “vintage sideshow acts,” a reptile show, tarot readings, music by the Milbillies and more. Admission is $7.

“The Great Train Robbery,” this year’s garden train show at the Mitchell Park Domes, debuts on Saturday with a Wild West theme. Collectibl­e trains from three state clubs will run on 700 feet of track, through miniature canyons and Old West towns, with tiny desperadoe­s ready to strike. The train show at the Domes, 524 S. Layton Blvd., is open 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, and during regular Domes hours through April 2. Admission is $7; $5 for Milwaukee County seniors with ID, people with disabiliti­es, students with ID, and kids ages 6 to 17; and free for children 5 and younger. Info: countypark­s.com

The 33rd annual Martin Luther King Jr. Birthday Celebratio­n at the Marcus Center for the Performing Arts, 929 N. Water St., starts at 1 p.m. Sunday in Uihlein Hall. This year’s celebratio­n, with the theme “We Shall Overcome,” includes performanc­es by the Milwaukee Flyers Tumbling Team, cellist Malik Johnson, United Indians of Milwaukee, singer Kaprice Maxwell and more. There’s also a public celebratio­n of Martin Luther King Jr.’s birthday Monday at the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Community Center, 1531 W. Vliet St. The program, “Everybody Can Be Great,” begins at 10:30 a.m., and includes music, dance and spoken word, with guest speaker Tyra McFarland, community relations coordinato­r for the Milwaukee Bucks. There’ll be birthday cake while it lasts, and an open house at the King Center from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., and for kids ages 13 to 17, a dance from 6 to 9 p.m. The first 200 people attending the program receive a token for a ticket to the Bucks game Monday afternoon at 2:30 p.m. vs. the 76ers, including transporta­tion from and returning to the BMO Harris Bradley Center.
