Bennett nets hat trick

The Milwaukee Wave rode Ian Bennett’s hat trick on Sunday afternoon to an 8-2 victory over the Cedar Rapids Rampage at the UW-Milwaukee Panther Arena.

Bennett scored Milwaukee’s first goal just over 2 minutes into the match and Max Ferdinand added another to put the Wave up, 2-0, after the first.

Andre Hayne and Robert Renaud each scored in the second to extend the Wave’s lead to 4-0 at the halfway point.

After Marcio Leite pushed the margin to 5-0 in the third, Hewerton Moreira was finally able to put Cedar Rapids on the board.

Antonio Aguilar scored first in the fourth, pulling the Rampage to within 5-2. But Bennett added two more scores to make it 7-2 before Daniel Chamale scored to reach the final margin.
