What will be done?

-

Again, nothing will be done. Public defenders have a saying: “Doesn’t everyone deserve an eleventh chance?” Well that saying is really being applied by our criminal justice system, not only here, but across the country in cities that are or have been run by liberals.

Here in Milwaukee, Greg “Ziggy” Zyszkiewicz was just killed and the community is very upset with our judicial system, and rightly so. But remember 5-year-old Laylah Petersen, 9-yearold Za’layia Jenkins, 4-year-old Jordan Smith, 1-year-old Bill Thao, and 167 children killed here by guns since 1999? Everyone was outraged and what has been done after those murders of children up until Zyszkiewicz’s murder?

If we can’t get anything to change when our children are shot and killed, what can be done now? Will Zyszkiewicz’s murder just become a distant memory like the murders of the abovementioned children?

Check this quote: “The Wisconsin Council on Children and Families offers some solutions, like making sure all guns are stored safely away from children.” How about knowing where your children are, who are they hanging out with, are they staying in school and reporting children to the police when needed?

A good portion of people living in large cities know someone who has committed crimes. They may be part of their own families, friends or relatives, and this includes families of people who have been elected to serve those people. Do any of these people really want their loved ones locked up?

So it stands to reason that their elected officials wouldn’t stand a chance of being elected if they are hard on criminals. These elected officials are now out again yelling that there should be alternative ways to handle criminals instead of putting them in prison. How do we, as responsible people, change this ideology? Anyone?
