PrideFest kicks off the festival season at Maier Festival Park this weekend. Friday’s opening day is free, with Jim Obergefell, plaintiff in the landmark Supreme Court marriage equality case, speaking at the opening ceremonies at 3 p.m. This year’s headlining acts at the Miller Lite Mainstage include Betty Who (10:15 p.m. Friday), 10,000 Maniacs (10 p.m. Saturday) and Todrick Hall (8:15 p.m. Sunday). Fireworks are at 9:30 p.m. Saturday. Hours: 3 p.m.-midnight Friday, noon-midnight Saturday and noon-10 p.m. Sunday. Admission is $18, free for kids 12 and younger, and for active and veteran military personnel with I.D.

“Modern Folk,” an exhibit exploring the intersecti­on between early modernists and folk art, opens Friday at the Milwaukee Art Museum, 700 N. Art Museum Drive. The exhibit, including paintings, drawings, prints and pieces from the museum’s collection of Shaker furniture, runs through Aug. 20. Museum hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. (till 8 p.m. Thursdays); admission is $17; $15 for students with I.D. and seniors 65 and older; and free for museum members and kids 12 and younger. Info: mam.org

Fiesta Waukesha, a free festival presented by Casa de Esperanza, checks into Waukesha’s Frame Park, 1240 Frame Park Drive, this weekend, with rides, children’s activities and more than a half-dozen musical acts. Hours are 4 to 11 p.m. Friday, 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday. Info: lacasadees­peranza.org

The Locust Street Festival of Music and Art,

Sunday on the east side street between Humboldt Blvd. and Holton St., includes six outdoor stages, artists, vendors and the 1.8-mile Beer Run/Walk. The festival runs from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., with the run/walk starting at 11:30 a.m. Admission to the festival is free. Info: locuststre­etfestival.org

Ciclovia MKE — part of the Open Streets movement, carving out car-free routes for bicycles and safe play — caps off Milwaukee Bike Week in Milwaukee’s Clarke Square neighborho­od. From noon to 4 p.m. Sunday, the streets from S. Chavez Drive to S. Layton Blvd. between W. National and W. Greenfield avenues will be closed to car traffic for use by runners, walkers, skaters and cyclists.
