WHAT FANS ARE SAYING AT JSONLINE.COM

Brewers select Keston Hiura in draft despite elbow injury Michael Conrad: I’d say it isn’t a question of timeline. He isn’t going to play for years anyway. It’s a question of his defense. Can he play in the field somewhere, even first base? If he can rake and field, then it’s fine. They should have taken a pitcher, though. That’s what they need. He probably isn’t the second baseman of the future. They don’t need a DH. Kenneth Marshall: Considering all of the Brewers failed first round pitching draft picks it was probably a good idea not to. Rick Norman: Probably feel middle infield is a premium position. If he hits like he did in college they will a spot for him. Robb Christenson: Love that the Brewers went for the high ceiling type vs. a questionable pitcher. No doubt that pitching wins championships but the Brewers have to swing for the fences with their picks because that’s the only way their going to add superstars. Gary Raymond: Let me know when the Brewers start developing their own pitching. Nothing else even comes a close second when trying to build a winner.

Jon Horst will be named Bucks GM Robb Christenson: This tells me that any semblance of a plan the team had is completely out the window. Zanik was brought in to be the successor. Then they wanted to go league wide. Now a Director of Ops? No one seems to have a clue. Ownership better get their stuff together because there appears to be too many cooks in the kitchen to make a decision! Christopher Barnes: Well it seems Lasry and Kidd had a clue. This has to be a very awkward situation for Zanek knowing that the rest of ownership didn’t want him and for Horst knowing that Lasry and Kidd preferred Zanek. Last thing they want to do is upset Kidd and have him leave. Those young players respect and love him too much. He goes you can kiss any chance of this team rising goodbye. Hopefully the other owners other than Lasry realize this. And hopefully all this can be smoothed out with Lasry and Kidd.
