BASEBALL Luke Dubnicka, Arrowhead: The junior third baseman went 4 for 7 with one run batted in and three runs scored at the state tournament Tuesday at Fox Cities Stadium in Grand Chute to help the Warhawks reach the semifinals for the second straight year. He was 3 for 5 with two doubles in the team’s 10-inning, 6-5 semifinal loss to Sun Prairie. His second double he pulled the Warhawks to within a run in the 10th. He finished the year hitting a team-high .448.

SOFTBALL Becca Oleniczak, Oak Creek: The junior’s play in the circle and at bat helped the Knights reach the state tournament for the first time since 2007. She was the Southeast Conference player of the year and earned first-team all-state status from the Wisconsin Fastpitch Softball Coaches Associatio­n. Oleniczak finished with a 21-1 record, a 1.04 earnedrun average and WHIP of 0.84. At the plate, she hit .510 with 38 runs batted in. Eighteen of her 53 hits went for extra bases.

GIRLS SOCCER Haddie Carlson, Lake Country Lutheran/University Lake: The senior has been prolific when it comes to putting the ball into the net. She arrived at state averaging two goals and 41⁄2 points per game. In the Division 4 state semifinals Thursday, she scored three unassisted goals in the second half of a 4-0 victory over Howards Grove. The Central Michigan recruit finished the year with 45 goals and seven assists for 97 points.

BOYS GOLF Piercen Hunt, Arrowhead: The freshman was a double winner at the WIAA Division 1 state golf tournament June 6 at University Ridge, helping the Warhawks win the team titles while claiming the medalist honor. Hunt shot an even par 72 at University Ridge on the first day of the tournament to share the lead and then fired a 3under 69 to finish with a twoday total of 141 and win the individual title by five strokes. He is the first individual champion in school history.

BOYS TRACK AND FIELD Catholic Memorial’s 400meter relay: The team of sophomore Tate Kopulos, senior Max Cooper, junior Dylan Schubbe and senior Austin Ciezki won the school’s second straight Division 2 title in the event at the WIAA state meet June 3 at Memorial Stadium in La Crosse. They posted a time of 42.77 seconds. Cooper and Schubbe are holdovers from the team last year.

GIRLS TRACK AND FIELD Destiny Huven, Nicolet: The sophomore ran the fastest time 100-meter high hurdles time in the state this season (14.37 seconds) in the Division 1 prelims of the WIAA state meet at Memorial Stadium in La Crosse and then captured the title the next day with a time of 14.70. She also qualified for state in the 300 low hurdles and the high jump. She is Nicolet’s first girls state champion since 2005 and her victory marked the eighth state title won the school alltime.

BOYS TENNIS Peter Lamberton and Jacob Ruud, Racine Prairie: Lamberton, a junior, and Ruud, a senior, finished third at the Division 2 individual state tournament June 3 at Nielsen Tennis Stadium in Madison and then helped the Hawks win their first state team title by defeating Madison Edgewood’s Forrest Lynn and Charlie Weitz, 7-6 (3) 6-3 in the final and Kohler’s Zach Hoell and Johnny Vallo, 6-0, 6-1, in the semifinals. Lamberton and Ruud finished the season 23-4.
