Pairing beers with daily headliners

What goes best with music? We say it’s beer.

Lakefront Brewery agrees. Each day of the 11day music festival, Lakefront taps a firkin of beer. The cask and flavors change daily and if you look closely, they are matched to the American Family Insurance Amphitheater headline act.

Firkins are tapped at 4 p.m. daily at Lakefront’s stand at Summerfest. You’ll want to be there for the fanfare and the chance to get a beer. They sell out quickly. The list includes: Friday: Gose with Prickly Pear. Paul Simon is the headliner.

Saturday: Chinook Hops IPA with Apricot. The Zac Brown Band headlines.

Sunday: French Farmhouse Ale with Rose Hips and Cranberry. Pink is the headliner.

Tuesday: Brandy Barrel-Aged Cherry Lager. The Chainsmokers headline.

Wednesday: Double IPA with Gin-Soaked Oak Cubes. Tom Petty headlines.

Thursday: Coconut Porter with Rum-Soaked Oak Cubes. Tom Petty headlines a second night.

July 7: Gose with Ginger, Lime and Honey. Dierks Bentley headlines.

July 8: Dormunder Lager with Honey. Future, Big Sean and Migos headline.

July 9: Eastside Dark with Black Barrel Jameson-soaked Oak Cubes for the Outlaw Music Festival.

There’s more beer in your future.
