Lewis shows caring side after win

Stacy Lewis came through for her hurricane-ravaged hometown — and ended a long winless streak.

The Houston-area player won the Cambia Portland (Ore.) Classic on Sunday, with her $195,000 in winnings going to the relief efforts. Her sponsor, KMPG, also pledged to match the donation.

The 32-year-old Lewis won her 12th LPGA Tour title and first title since June 2014, ending a run that included 12 runner-up finishes. She closed with a 3-under 69 to hold off In Gee Chun by a stroke at tree-lined Columbia Edgewater.

Lewis, who finished at 20-under 268, parred the final 11 holes. She got upand-down from off the green on the par-4 17th and reached the green on the par-4 18th from a fairway bunker to set up her winning two-putt. Chun also parred the final two holes in a 66.

PGA Tour: Justin Thomas made three long birdies on a long, wet TPC Boston for a tournament­best 63, giving him a share of the lead with Marc Leishman going into a Labor Day finish in the Dell Technologi­es Championsh­ip in Norton, Mass.

They were at 12-under 201 with no room for error on a leaderboar­d that was packed with some of golf’s best players.

Paul Casey and Jordan Spieth was among three golfers two shots back.

Dustin Johnson and Jon Rahm were three behind.

PGA Tour Champions: Scott McCarron won the Shaw Charity Classic on Sunday in Calgary, Alberta, for his fourth tour title of the season.

McCarron closed with a 3-under 67 to beat Miguel Angel Jimenez by a stroke at Canyon Meadows

McCarron finished at 16-under 194.

Scott Dunlap (67), Todd Hamilton (67) and Kevin Sutherland (68) tied for third at 13 under.

Jerry Kelly of Madison tied for sixth at 12 under.
