PLAYER OF THE WEEK Anna Misky, Divine Savior Holy

Angels: The Dashers handed Stevens Point, the fifth ranked team in the wissports.net Division 1 state coaches poll, its first loss of the season Friday thanks to the marksmansh­ip of their sophomore guard. Misky, who is averaging about seven points per game, scored a prephigh 20 in the 76-71 victory. She went 6 of 7 from three-point range, draining 5 threes in the first half when DSHA built a 40-23 lead.

TEAMS OF THE WEEK

Kettle Moraine Lutheran: The Chargers rebounded nicely from a loss to Plymouth on Dec. 22 to win Franklin’s Christine Rathke Memorial Tournament. KML defeated Kenosha St. Joseph and Greendale before beating Germantown in the final, 63-57, on Friday. Junior forward Ariana Miller finished with 25 points on 8-of-11 shooting in the final and grabbed 13 rebounds. Juniors Jayme Soderbeck (nine points, seven rebounds) and Amelia Bock (nine points, two steals) were the team’s next-best scorers. The victories raised the Chargers record to 8-1, their best start since their state championsh­ip season of 2013-’14.

Cudahy: The Packers (8-3) extended their winning streak to five games by defeating Lake Mills and Poynette at the Lake Mills Holiday Classic last Wednesday and Thursday. They outscored Poynette by 10 in the second half of a 39-28 victory in the final as senior guard Hannah Kulas hit 4 three-pointers and totaled 20 points. On Wednesday she had 22 points and junior guard Kaytlin Sagan added 15 in a 60-32 victory over Lake Mills. The two players have been a 1-2 punch for the Packers with Kulas averaging 16.8 points per game and Sagan posting 14.6 per contest.

Friday: The final undefeated teams in the Classic 8 meet. West Allis Hale at Brookfield Central, 7:15 p.m. Friday: Hale, which leads Central by a half game in the Greater Metro, seeks its first win over the Lancers since the 2005-’06 season, a run of 22 straight games. DSHA at Sussex Hamilton, 7:15

p.m. Friday: Both teams are in the hunt in the Greater Metro, but this is the start of an especially tough stretch for DSHA. Next Tuesday it plays host to Brookfield Central and Jan. 16 it plays host to West Allis Hale, two one-loss teams in the league. Pewaukee at New Berlin Eisenhower, 7:15 p.m. Friday: Eisenhower can finish the first half of the Woodland West season undefeated with a victory over the Pirates, who are one game back. Milwaukee King vs. Montini Catholic at Chicagolan­d Invitation­al, Benet Academy, Lisle, Ill., 2:30 p.m. Saturday: The area’s topranked team takes on one of Illinois’ finest. Montini is 14-1.
