Son of murdered Hmong couple is missing
The 18-year-old son of Phia and Mai Vue, who were killed in a 2016 triple homicide, is missing, family members say.
Alexander Vue was last seen about noon Monday on the James Madison Academic Campus, according to posters circulating on social media.
Milwaukee police said Friday they are following up on leads, interviewing witnesses and continuing to investigate.
Alexander Vue is the oldest son of Phia and Mai Vue.
Last week, a judge affirmed a jury’s verdict that the man who shot and killed the teen’s parents and another neighbor, Jesus Manso-Perez, will go to prison for life.
The convicted killer, Dan Popp, will be sentenced next month for the triple homicide inside their fourunit apartment building near S. 92nd St. and W. Beloit Road in March 2016.
Alexander Vue’s legal guardian, Khou Xiong, told WITI-TV (Channel 6) it is “out of character” for him to go missing and stop communication.
The teen is described as an Asian male, 5 feet, 8 inches tall and weighing 160 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes.
He was last seen wearing his black-framed glasses, a black polo shirt, khakis, black dress shoes and a gray North Face coat. He was carrying a black North Face backpack.
