Hanson Dodge has named former Energy BBDO executive Stacie Boney as its new president, the Milwaukee agency announced Monday.

Boney is succeeding Tim Dodge, who is staying with the integrated marketing agency as CEO.

Boney came to Hanson Dodge in 2016 after previously leading accounts for Wm. Wrigley Jr. Co., Sara Lee, Henkel Corp. and S.C. Johnson as a senior executive at Energy BBDO in Chicago.

“Business transformation through creativity is what excites me,” Boney said in a statement. “In Hanson Dodge I found a creatively driven, founder-led agency that was serious about growth. I was also attracted by Hanson Dodge’s talent level and award-winning culture.”

As president, Boney will “drive excellence across all areas of the agency’s work for clients,” according to the statement. Dodge, in his CEO role, will focus on innovating the agency’s offerings.

Dodge took on the CEO role after his former business partner, Ken Hanson, left the agency. Hanson announced his departure in July.

The creative firm began three decades ago and has grown to work with local and national clients. Locally, it works with organizations including Visit Milwaukee, Medical College of Wisconsin and Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin. Hanson Dodge also works with national active lifestyle brands such as Keen Footwear, Wilson Sporting Goods and Trek Bicycle.

Hanson Dodge said the leadership changes are part of the agency’s long-term growth plan. The company plans to further expand its digital solutions, attracting and retaining top talent and pursuing additional clients, according to the release.
