MADISON - Although Wisconsin failed to finish in the top four of the Big Ten men's basketball standings for the first time since 2000, Ethan Happ was named a first-team all-conference pick by the media.

The redshirt junior forward finished the regular season fifth in the league in scoring (18.0 ppg), fourth in rebounds (8.2 per game), tied for seventh in assists (3.9 per game), second in steals (1.9 per game) and tied for 10th in blocks (1.2 per game).

Happ was a second-team pick by the coaches.

Ohio State’s Keita Bates-Diop, Michigan State’s Miles Bridges, Penn State’s Tony Carr and Purdue’s Carsen Edwards were consensus first-team picks.

Nebraska’s James Palmer Jr. was a first-team pick by the coaches.

Happ was the league’s freshman of the year and a third-team pick in 2016 and a consensus first-team pick last season.

Happ in Big Ten play this season led UW in scoring, steals, blocks, assists, rebounds and field-goal attempts.

UW's Brad Davison was named to the league's all-freshman team.

Davison averaged 11.9 points and 2.6 rebounds and shot 35.4% from threepoint range in Big Ten play.

Senior Aaron Moesch was recognized with the Big Ten Sportmanship Award, which is awarded to one player from each team who has distinguished himself through sportsmanship and ethical behavior.
