Cirque at the Bradley Center

For its final visit to the BMO Harris Bradley Center, Cirque du Soleil brought “Corteo,” a splashy but odd blend of joy and sorrow. In “Corteo” — Italian for cortege, as in funeral procession — a clown imagines his own funeral as a carnival, with angels, acrobats, feats of joy and flights of fancy, all in the space between this life and the next. “Corteo” takes the stage at 7:30 p.m. Friday, 3:30 and 7:30 p.m. Saturday, and 1 and 5 p.m. Sunday. Tickets are $39 to $130, at all Ticketmaster outlets, including Ticketmaster.com, and the box office at the Bradley Center, 1001 N. 4th St. Info: bradleycenter.com

A rose by any other name at the Domes

Things get literal — actually, liter

ary — at the Mitchell Park Domes starting Saturday, with the opening of the spring floral show, “Shakespeare in Love.” The words of the Bard of Avon mark the paths through the Show Dome, which is to be filled with flowers echoing some of his works (rosemary and pansies for “Hamlet,” thyme and violets for “A Midsummer Night’s Dream,” daffodils and lavender for “A Winter’s Tale”). Also in the show: spring flowers such as tulips, hydrangeas and Easter lilies. “Shakespeare in Love” is at the Domes, 524 S. Layton Blvd., through May 31. The Domes are open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays, and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays. Admission is $8; $6 for students with I.D., kids ages 6 to 17 and people with disabilities; free for children 5 and younger (additional discounts for Milwaukee County residents with I.D.).
