Cubs 2, METS 0: Jon Lester dominated for seven innings and Javier Baez stole home to break a scoreless tie as Chicago blanked New York. Blue Jays 8, TIGERS 4: Justin Smoak’s sixthinning homer broke a scoreless tie to lift Toronto over Detroit. WHITE SOX 6, Brewers 1: Daniel Palka and Adam Engel hit back-to-back homers as Chicago defeated Milwaukee. PADRES 6, Reds 3: Hunter Renfroe’s pinch-hit, go-ahead grand slam lifted San Diego past Cincinnati. Red Sox at ASTROS (late): Andrew Benintendi and Christian Vazquez each homered as Boston defeated Houston 5-4 on Saturday.
