Where to watch World Cup final

- Chris Foran

France and Croatia square off Sunday in the World Cup finals. You can watch it at home — the match is airing live on Fox and Telemundo — or you can watch it with people who really love their soccer.

One of them is likely more fun.

If you’re rooting for France …

Bastille Days is this weekend, although the festival’s budget doesn’t allow it to stream the match on the festival grounds. But several nearby pubs will have the game on — and you’ll be in sight of the festival’s Eiffel Tower.

If you’re rooting for Croatia …

The Croatian Eagles Soccer Club is hosting a viewing party Sunday at 10 a.m. in Croatian Park, 9100 S. 76th St., Franklin. The promised bill of fare: Bloody Marys, mimosas “and all your Croatian favorites.” Check the club’s website (croatianeagles.com) for details.

If you’re just rooting for a good time …

Many of Milwaukee’s soccer-centric spots will be showing Sunday’s finals. But some places are making it a bigger party than others.

Three Lions Pub, 4515 N. Oakland Ave., Shorewood, is shutting down Oakland Ave. in front of the Englishthemed pub for its World Cup finals street party, with prizes, entertainment and a Jumbotron.

Red Lion Pub, Three Lions’ sister location at 1850 N. Water St., is having its World Cup final viewing party on its rooftop patio. Find out more on The World Cut 2018 Viewing! Facebook event page.

Nomad Nacional, the FanZone party spot operated by Nomad World Pub, has a party planned during and after the finals. It’s in the former La Fuente space at 625 S. 5th St. Go to the Nomad Nacional Facebook page for details.
