Milwaukee teacher faces second child sex assault charge
A Catholic school teacher was charged Friday with assaulting a student during tutoring sessions at St. Matthias Parish School on Milwaukee’s southwest side.
Kevin D. Buelow, 45, of West Allis, was charged with first-degree sexual assault for touching a child younger than 13 between September 2010 and 2011, according to a criminal complaint.
He was charged with another count of child sexual assault earlier in August. That incident occurred in 2012, according to a criminal complaint.
He appeared in court Friday on the new count and was being held on $5,000 bail.
The victims recently came forward and investigators found other girls who said Buelow touched them inappropriately while they were students at St. Matthias, the criminal complaint said.
Buelow worked at St. Matthias until 2013 and most recently worked at Holy Apostles School in New Berlin. A letter from Holy Apostles administrators said Buelow has been placed on administrative leave.
The letter said the allegations are not believed to involve faculty, staff or students at Holy Apostles.
The latest complaint alleges Buelow inappropriately touched a female St. Matthias student, who was 9 or 10 at the time, repeatedly in 2010 and 2011.
