Player of the week

Hannah Brown, Germantown: The Warhawks senior led her team to victory at its tournament Saturday. She recorded 30 kills with a .420 hitting percentage in five matches and had 12 blocks in victories over Whitnall, New Berlin Eisenhower, Martin Luther, Kaukauna and Sheboygan North.

Teams of the week

Mukwonago: After a second-place showing at the Burlington Invite during the first week of the season, Mukwonago scored a 3-1 win Thursday over Waukesha West in the Classic 8 opener and then went 5-0 at its invitation­al Saturday to win the event for the third straight season.

Wisconsin Lutheran: The Vikings went 6-0, losing just one set in the process. They started the week by opening Woodland Conference play with a sweep of Pius XI and then won the Ram Slam Tournament at Grayslake (Ill.) Central for the first win at the event in four appearance­s.
